Well-placed and well-chosen green plants will be an elegant addition to a city apartment. After visiting the “island” of nature, you will start working with renewed vigor, because nothing relaxes like a few minutes spent in silence.

The winter garden is a room decorated with dwarf trees and various plants. The classic version of the winter garden is a glazed structure with irrigation, ventilation and heating systems. If you do not follow the canons, then you can decorate the interior of the apartment by combining various plants and flower arrangements in a certain area. The first thing that will need to be worked on is the decoration and insulation of balconies and loggias. It is better to entrust this to a specialized company, and in your free time to plan a winter garden on the balcony.

It is wrong to call the composition a winter garden in the literal sense, but a slightly incorrect name will not reduce the decorativeness of the “green zone”.

The maximum image close to the winter garden will give a flower garden arranged on the balcony. Plants will feel comfortable there, and the beauty of the compositions will delight not only the owners, but also people passing by.

Balcony or loggia must be glazed, plants do not like cold and drafts. Carry out additional heating and eliminate gaps in the balcony railing. It is advisable to mount a “warm floor” or lay an insulated coating. If the balcony is not located on the sunny side, pick up shade-tolerant plants, or arrange lighting.

The best option is to contact a phytodesigner for an elegant distribution of plants in the selected area. But if you decide to create a garden with your own hands from start to finish, pay attention to citrus plants, they are able to tolerate temperatures up to +15 degrees. Azaleas and rhododendrons bloom well and decorate the interior. Creepers, aloe, cacti, hibiscus, gloriosa and monstera are unpretentious in care.

Choose original pots and tubs for plants. Unique built-in and wall-mounted container options. Sculptures, fountains, wicker furniture will revive the composition, if the size of the room allows.
