Those who personally create the interior design of their apartment, guided by personal ideas about the beautiful, and their common sense. But still, there are typical mistakes that it will be interesting for novice “designers” to learn about, and for lovers of reading it will also be interesting.
First mistake. Ceiling – only white
Since the Soviet years, this stereotype has remained unchanged. White ceilings can really look good, especially for small spaces with neutral pastel walls. But, if the walls are preferably bright, then the ceiling in this case will look better – for example, blue, pink, yellow and even black.
In general, the selection of colors for the ceiling, walls and floors is an important point. Take a closer look at how designers designing luxury housing are doing. Regardless of the size of the apartment, whether it is a small apartment in the center of the capital or a huge penthouse, townhouse in a new building. In terms of design, a new Soviet “Khrushchev” or a country house, a cottage, any house will look tasteful, as it was designed by a professional. And if necessary, such housing can be sold with incredible ease.
Second mistake. We started designing from the wrong place
It is best not to choose the color of the walls until you decide on textiles and furniture, otherwise you will have to wander around the shops for a long time with a small sample that you will need to apply to everything you like. After all, it will be cheaper to repaint the wall, but not vice versa. It is also not necessary to build the entire interior around a certain thing that you don’t like too much. What is unnerving in design now will be even more unnerving later, and will certainly not fall in love with, even after a certain time. Also pay attention to the floor, because today there are an unusually large number of them – carpet, laminate, linoleum and there are quite a few manufacturers, such as ruflex.
Third mistake. Inharmonious arrangement of furniture.
It is bad if the apartment has places cluttered with furniture that interfere with normal movement around the apartment. All this is due to the fact that measurements were not carefully taken and the arrangement of furniture in the apartment was not planned.
Further, armchairs and sofas that stand along the walls even in large rooms are a common mistake of a tenant-decorator. Furniture can be arranged intelligently – this is the key to zoning your territory, and not just a thoughtless furniture schedule on the machine.
