Victims of the infamous Elite Center scam, of which there are about 1 at this time.7 thousand people express their fears that in the near future the well-known organizer of the fraudulent scheme, Alexander Shakhov, may be released from the pre-trial detention center altogether. This is due to the fact that at the end of this month the period of detention under investigation is coming to an end, and the representatives of the court have already managed to declare the presence of mitigating reasons that allow changing the preventive measure.

At this time, the scandalous case is under consideration by the Podolsky court. It just seems that its delay is quite beneficial for everyone, of course, except for the victims themselves. There has been no access to investigative materials since May of this year. The lawyers of the victims draw attention to the fact that at the moment the court has all the formal grounds to release Shakhov to freedom, in view of the fact that the schemer was extradited from Switzerland under one article, but in Ukraine it was changed. The investigating party was obliged to notify Switzerland about this, and this, in turn, is a weighty argument for changing the preventive measure.

Shakhov’s lawyer also expresses his dissatisfaction with the investigation and believes that in the near future his client should be released, which in turn is associated with a change in the article under which the founder of Elite Center was detained.
