Today Japan is an organic part of the world cultural and economic capitalist space. Its culture is increasingly absorbing the features of Western societies.
Traditions are gradually dying out, but the remaining ones form a bizarre alloy with modern values and moral guidelines.
Among the ancient rituals and traditions that have survived to this day since the days of ancient Japan, the following can be distinguished:
The culture of family relationships. The life of Japanese families is still strictly regulated by traditions. The competencies of the husband, wife and children are strictly distributed, it is forbidden to violate the boundaries. Until now, the practice of choosing a bride on the bride, which in the age of capitalism resulted in the creation of special agencies ready to pick up a woman according to the requested parameters as a wife.
Tea ceremony. Minte tea is a traditional Japanese drink, a light green, lightly brewed drink. However, the meaning of tea drinking is not only the use of tea. The ceremony consists of several stages, during which guests are served snacks, paintings and sculptures are shown. There is also a cultural program. Historically, geishas have become experts in tea ceremonies.
The culture of drinking alcohol. In fact, the only and oldest alcoholic drink in Japan is rice vodka – sake, the reception of which is also furnished with obligatory cultural rituals since ancient times. So, clinking glasses in society is not accepted. Make toasts, too. Only when the first glass is knocked over is usually pronounced “Kampai!”, Which literally translates as “dry bottom”.
