Many country houses are equipped with systems such as heating and cooking stoves. Basically, they contain two functions: heating the room and cooking. Especially for cooking, in such designs horizontal plates are provided, equipped with burners of various sizes.

Below, we will consider the types of furnaces, their characteristics, as well as methods for self-laying brick models.

Characteristics of types of heating and cooking stoves

In general, the market for heating systems offers, most often, products made of cast iron and steel, but the layout of brick stoves also does not lose its relevance.

one. Cast iron stoves for home.

This type of furnace is mainly in demand among those customers who do not want to spend time installing and laying brick models. Cast iron and steel units are more efficient in terms of heat exchange and room heating rate. However, they have one drawback. Such stoves tend to cool quickly, and therefore, they will have to be heated twice as often.

A positive nuance in the process of acquisition, the optimal price is. It is this factor that is fundamental in the trend of their demand.

In general, furnaces from all model ranges that have steel and cast iron as the main materials in the structure are considered durable.

2. Heating and cooking brick ovens.

Often, when laying brick structures, red brick is predominant. Accordingly, the area where the fire is kindled is laid out with refractory materials.

Basically, brick stoves are laid out in small houses with a small area for heating, therefore their dimensions are calculated in accordance with the parameters of the total living space. At the same time, there are opportunities, for larger mansions, to increase the volume of important structural nuances. Meaning:

– the firebox, in which the fire zone is concentrated;

– a cooking panel, preferably consisting of a refractory material;

– The wind space used as an oven and serves to maintain dishes in relevant, hot condition.

All of the above nuances are combined to maximize the distribution of hot air exchange.

How to make an independent laying of a brick heating and cooking stove?

Many people think that such a task as self-laying a brick stove is a whole thing that requires special education and cash skills. Let’s reassure you. Such a stove, it is quite possible to build it yourself. To do this, you may need the following attributes:

one. two types of bricks: red and refractory, while the amount of each of them directly depends on the chosen model of the oven for laying out;

2. clay mortar;

3. quartz sand and preferably crushed;

four. steel corners;

5. doors for the fire zone and blower;

6. horizontal stove for cooking;

7. trowel, wooden mallet, water level, plumb line, as well as a large hammer.

The procedure for laying the furnace is as follows:

– to begin with, we mix a solution of sand, clay and water, and then we build a border under the foundation and pour a solution into it, including cement with buta to enhance the strength of the future structure;

– on top of the foundation, we impose the first couple of rows of bricks;

– from 3 to 5 rows should contain zones for ash release, therefore, when laying them, it is necessary to leave the necessary space;

– on top of the 5th brick layer, a special overlap is made, from the 6th to the 7th row there are steps, on which, after laying out the 8th row, a grate is placed;

– further, a refractory fire zone is laid out;

– on top of the firing zone, we build rows 12 and 13, forming a place for a hob that needs to be mounted there;

– continue laying out the rows until the desired oven height is reached.
